Why do 3 year olds break everything?

We have fix a few things that have been broken around the house recently. Lachlan decided to pull down on the curtains and it ripped the curtain rod holders right out of the plaster wall. I had to get my DIY game on and patch it up. I think I did ok (the curtain is back up and working ok) but we have never been able to find the matching paint colour for our walls so instead we have left it unpainted but good news is that unless you are up close you can't really notice it.

Other thing that was broken was my telescope tripod bracket (that secures the telescope to the tripod). Lachlan decided to swing in circles on one of the office chairs and this knocked the tripod over. There was a loud bang as it fell to the floor, my worst fear was that the telescope itself was damaged but miraculously it survived intact and only the bracket was snapped. I then found out that the vendor has a great spare parts department and they sent out a replacement part for only $25 which I thought to be extremely cheap considering I initially thought I was up for a new telescope! I will have to get out and do some more astrophotography now that it is back up and running
