Christmas is approaching
11 Dec 2020
homeJust a quick update this week. Work has been getting busier if anything, so much needs to be completed by the end of the year and we are madly scrambling to get renewals done while working out the process as we go - it feels like the financial delegations and approval processes keep changing. I think we managed to map everything out so hopefully we will be able to make it a bit more streamlined for next year. Definitely feel like we all need a break, I think we have all earned it this year. My interview was also postponed to next week so while part of me is glad that I have a bit more time to prepare, I also would like to get it over and done with. Chances are that I won't find out until next year whether I got the job or not but we will see how we go.
On the home front, we put up the Christmas trees at home and at Nanna's house. Thats about as festive as we get. We have some Christmas lights up on the front of the house - I put them up last year I think (or it may have been the year before) but a lot of the houses on our street really go all out so I am starting to get Christmas light envy. Apparently they have some pretty good solar powered lights for sale down at the local shopping centre so I might have to check it out.
Other than that its been pretty 'business as usual'. 3yo son has come up with some absolute crackers this week: "I don't want to go and pick up Sebastian, can we leave him at Nanna's forever?". I need to make a mental note to write these down as they happen because there are a few others that had me laughing but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
