End of 2020

It is almost Christmas, final day at work and then off for the next week and a half. While I am secretly hoping I will have heaps of spare time to do nothing at all, I suspect I will be busy travelling all over the countryside to visit relatives and in-laws. To that end, I doubt I will be adding any new posts until 2021 so this will be it for 2020. Wow, what a year.

Good news is that I was offered and I accepted the new position at work. While it is essentially the same job that I have been doing during 2020 (and most of 2019), my title changes and I am no longer 'acting', but permanent! I think it is the shortest title I have ever had in my career too! I'm glad it all went through before the end of the year. A lot of work to do next year: re-organisation of reporting lines, reviews of position descriptions, training staff to support multiple functional areas and a fair bit of process review work so it's going to be busy and a lot of hard work but I'm ooking forward to it.
