Site Update

coding

While on Mastodon the other day, someone I follow tooted (Is that the right verb? Or do I say it popped up in my feed perhaps?) that they moved from wordpress to a new instance and will be blogging from there. Looks like he is doing something similar with 11ty so it resonated with me. It got me thinking about my own site and it inspired me to add a bit more to it. Previously it was just a basic 'about me' page and some blog posts but given some of the recent work I had done to up my music creation/production (including getting my own ISRC code!), I figured it was about time to add some of that to here. So I added a new music page to the menu and a bit of context around my musical journey. As I say on the page, music creation is a hobby, I don't intend for it to go anywhere beyond that but the new page allows me to share my passion and the fun I get out of creating music (and the associated artwork/icons/album covers that goes with it). The image in this post is the offical logo for 'Optimaphonica' - my band/artist name and the new music page is the start of the additional content (covering other aspects of my life) that I will be adding to the site over time.

I also will be tweaking the cards on the main page - I would like to clean it up so the thumbnails work better, and maybe the card links to the post rather than just the title? I'm not 100% sure just yet. I was also recently reading a post about 100 things you can do to your personal website. It has given me a few ideas which I will look at implementing when I have the time.
