R2D2 in Lego

Turned out to be a busy Fathers Day this year. The kids schools both put on Fathers Day Breakfasts and we enjoyed Bacon and Egg rolls at my daughters school on Wed while it was a sausage and egg roll at my sons school on Friday morning. It was great to sit down and share some breaky with them but I always find it funny that as soon as the food is done, they all disappear to hang out with their friends!

My wife had planned on taking the whole family out for breakfast on Sunday morning but I had to play in a hockey semi-final just before lunch so we decided to skip it this year and have a quick breaky at home. I went to visit my Dad and hung out at the home for a while before coming home and getting ready for the hockey match. We had an awesome game, and despite a couple of my stuff ups (accidentally passing the ball straight to the opposition in front of the goal and I also got a green card - a 2min sit in the naughty chair although I am still not 100% sure what it was for...) we ended up winning the match 4-1 and we go through to the grand final in a couple of weeks. The whole team played really well, it was a great game and the whole family came to watch as well which means a lot to me.

Afternoon was spent putting the Lego R2-D2 (my fathers day gift from my family) together while watching the Star Wars movies. Bliss! I love that the set included a minifigurine of Darth Malak from the Knights of the Old Republic - it inspired me to do a playthrough of the game.
